Kid's work shop

Today we( me Modu, Veera,Maija and Minttu) have again passed good whiles with kids .They were twenty one kids who assisted at the two sceanses that finish girls have assisted .
In the the morning they were twelve and worked by painting papers ,and drawing up after .
In that group kids are four to six years old .
After midday it was the round of the more older like eight nine to fourteen years old .They were nine ones to be presents .
This sceanse have I thing recorded a bit success.Children feel more interested by those work shop .Interest that that I have noted today and wich keep my attention is that :the topic was to discuss with kids about hygieny in general .This has permitted to kids to expose their knowledges about hygieny , it seems that they have understood a bit well .They know already importancy of hygieny and consequenses.
After that sceanse of discussing kids were invited to draw together what they want to reproduce from the subject that we were talking about ( hygieny) .Pictures on that paper were various and and talktives .
I wish success to that right's kids program because children are the first pillar of Santhiaba's environnementally development .

Art project with kids

Today we toubabs had a fist lession with Childrens Rights Club. We were talking about environment, garbage, recycling etc. First group (3-7 years old) kids drew their favourite place, which was this street. They learned the basic colours and how to mix them. Second group (about 8-13 years old) made a colour circle and painted pictures of their homes and family members. Pictures became really nice allthough they had never used a paint brush before. Now those paintings are hanging on the wall of Sunu Keur and exhausted toubabs went to the nearest beach to relax for a while.

Adults have started english lessions for the first time. They have got a local teacher and 3 lessions a week. Sounds good to me, because we do not speak French. We learn a little more wolof every day and we get along just fine!

We are astonished by the senegalize friendliness and how easily we have settled down here in Sunu Keur. Project with children continues tomorrow morning and we: Tall, Short and Crazy need some sleep. (Babacar gave us names, in wolof of course)
Ba ci kanam! Toubab Veera
