how are you
We have now been some days working full time documenting thesenegalesse cooking in different houses and dishes; it;s been a greatexperience though which we think we have acomplished much more than weexpected; as women of all ages have been really helpful and patientthough the whole process: they also have been making differentrecepies cooked in all kinds of houses; so the material is verycomplete and complex;so far this is all the good stuff; the bad news is that our camera;that has never before given us any problem; has broken and we callednikon and they say it would take something like two months to have itrepaired; so we cannot take anymore photos what is very sad for us...still as I said we have much more material than we have from othercountries; but is a pitty this accident happened;cest la vie!

The Espanish In Santhiaba

Hello all: after a really nice week in Santhiaba; getting used to all the new things surounding us;
today we started our cooking project; we haven't gone through the material yet but we feel very happy about the result of the experience; luckily we started with Babacar's family who were all very opened; helpful and patient during the whole photo sesion:
it has been incredible seeing the complexity and long elaboration of the daily food: we are documenting the whole process of lunch; from the market place selecting the ingredients and talking with the neighbours; the cooking and finally all the family eating in the patio
tomorrow and during all the week we continue with the pictures on differen recepies
